1) Workshop- Building Emotional Intelligence for a Positive and Productive Workplace for Administrative and Office staff.

The Counselling and Wellness Cell, in association with the IQAC of CES College of Arts and Commerce, Cuncolim–Salcete, Goa, organized a workshop titled “Building Emotional Intelligence for a Positive and Productive Workplace” on Saturday, 28th March 2026. The workshop was conducted for the Administrative and Office Staff of the institution, along with participants from sister institutions, namely Cuncolim United School and Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School.

A total of 28 participants attended the session, of which 2 were from Cuncolim United High School, 7 from Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School, and the remaining 19 belonged to the host institution.

The workshop was facilitated by the Resource Person, Dr. Vithoba Narayan Mhalkar, who delivered a highly interactive and engaging session on the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace. The session commenced with a thought-provoking quote by Carl Jung, highlighting the essential role emotions play in transforming human behaviour and motivating action.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON ACADEMIC AUDIT

Objective of the Program:

  • To familiarize participants with the concept and importance of the Academic Audit.
  • To encourage self-evaluation and accountability in academic departments.
  • To align academic practices with NAAC and institutional quality benchmarks.

 

Resource Person:

Dr. Vikrant Vijay Mudliyar, Assistant Professor of Economics, Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem – Goa.

Program Highlights:

The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a warm welcome address delivered by the Principal of the College, Prof. Brahma Edwin Barreto, who highlighted the relevance of academic audit in strengthening institutional accountability and academic quality.

Dr. Suraj Popker, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator of CES College, formally introduced the resource person, Dr. Vikrant Vijay Mudliyar, outlining his academic background, contributions to research, and his expertise in the field of higher education policy and quality assurance

Dr. Mudliyar conducted an insightful and interactive session on the Concept, Process, and Importance of Academic Audit under the National Education Policy 2020 framework. His presentation covered key aspects such as self-assessment, quality benchmarks, stakeholder involvement, and the role of IQAC in sustaining continuous improvement in higher education institutions. The session was well-received and appreciated by the faculty members in attendance.
